The “Laguna del Iberá” is probably one of the largest wetland in the world. Located in the centre of the province of Corrientes, it links only with the Corrientes River and to numerous small internal streams. It is the most important fauna reserve in Argentina covering an area of 1,300,000 hectares. As well as the swamp deer “Ciervo de los Pantanos”, you can observe “Yacares” (from the crocodile family but smaller in size), the Yellow Anaconda, “Carpinchos” (biggest rodent) and over 350 species of birds.
